Simplify the chaos

I help align people, simplify operations, and create systems that stick.

About

About me

I’ve spent my career building businesses from the inside out, rolling up my sleeves, solving messy challenges, and creating the kind of clarity that helps owners breathe again.

For nearly two decades, I helped scale a scrappy Toronto startup into a thriving national company with 500 employees. Along the way, I learned something simple but powerful: businesses don’t succeed because of shiny strategies or flawless systems. They succeed because of people. When teams feel supported and owners feel in control, everything flows — operations, culture, and growth.

That’s why I do what I do. I work with business owners who care deeply about their people, their craft, and their community. Together, we untangle complexity, steady the ship, and build systems that stick. Not just for efficiency but for the humans behind them.

This isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all playbooks. It’s about understanding what makes your business unique and helping you step out of the grind so you can lead with clarity and focus.

If you’re ready for a partner who “gets it” and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, I’d love to help you create a business that works for you, not the other way around.

Grant Dyer

Services

When I was running Kirk’s Door Services, Grant was the guy I turned to anytime I got stuck with technology or needed help setting up anything for my business. He helped me get my computers and programs working properly and showed me better ways to organize things so the day-to-day ran more smoothly. It made a huge difference for me, especially as someone who isn’t the most tech-savvy. Now that I’m retired, I can honestly say his help saved me a lot of stress and let me focus on my customers. I’d recommend him to any business owner who wants to get their systems in order and make life easier.

  • What does a business operations consultant do?
A business operations consultant helps you simplify workflows, improve team communication, and put systems in place that make your business run more smoothly. I work hands-on with owners to identify challenges and create practical solutions that actually work day-to-day.
  • Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can talk through your challenges and see if I’m the right fit to help you simplify operations, align your team, and plan for growth.
  • What kind of systems can you help implement?
I help businesses set up and optimize the right tools for their needs, whether that’s CRMs, HR platforms, project management systems, or custom and industry-specific software. Whether you’re building processes from scratch or improving what’s already there, I tailor solutions to fit your team’s workflow and goals.
  • Why should I hire a business consultant?
Running a business can feel overwhelming. A consultant gives you fresh perspective and expertise to fix operational bottlenecks, align your team, and create breathing room so you can focus on growth instead of putting out fires.
  • Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. I can embed myself in your business for hands-on support or work remotely if that suits your team and schedule better.
  • How do I book a consultation?
You can book a free 30-minute consultation directly through my website. Just pick a time that works for you, and we’ll talk about your business goals and challenges.
  • What happens during a free consultation?
We’ll have a casual conversation about your business. I’ll listen to your challenges, ask a few key questions, and share some initial ideas for simplifying and improving your operations. There’s no pressure. It’s about seeing if we’re a good fit to work together.
  • How do I know if my business needs a consultant?
If you’re spending more time putting out fires than planning for growth, or if your workflows and team feel disorganized, a consultant can bring fresh perspective and help you create clarity and systems that actually work.
  • Do you offer one-time advice or ongoing support?
Both. I can provide a one-time strategy session to solve specific challenges or work with you over time to design and implement systems, align your team, and set you up for sustainable success.
  • How soon can you start?
It depends on your needs and my availability, but I can often begin with an initial consultation within a few days. For larger projects, we’ll create a timeline that works for you.
  • Do you work with small and medium businesses in Toronto?
Yes. I specialize in helping small and medium-sized offices in Toronto streamline operations, align their teams, and build systems for long-term success.
  • Can you help retail and hospitality businesses in Prince Edward County?
Absolutely. I work with retail, hospitality, farm-based ventures, and offices in Prince Edward County. I understand the unique challenges of running a business in a close-knit, seasonal community and can help you simplify operations, train teams, and build systems that fit your pace and style.
  • Do you work with businesses outside Toronto and Prince Edward County?
Yes. While I focus on businesses in Toronto and Prince Edward County, I can work remotely with clients across Ontario and beyond. For in-person support, I’m also available to travel within the GTA and surrounding areas.
